Important changes to appointment booking
Why are we changing?
From 1st October, the government has made it mandatory for GP Surgery’s to keep online access to all patients open throughout opening hours. The practice needs to adapt to ensure that we are compliant with new regulations whilst also maintain patient safety and good quality of care.
We’re Making It Easier to Get the Care You Need
From 3rd November, we’re updating how we handle appointment requests to make things quicker, fairer, and more convenient for everyone.
What’s changing?
To help us respond to you faster and more efficiently:
- All medical requests will now start with an online form accessible via the practice website homepage.
- If you call or visit us in person, our reception team will guide you through completing the form- or fill it out for you if needed.
- Once submitted, you’ll hear back within 1 working day with advice, an appointment, or next steps.
Why This Is Better
- No more long waits on hold on the phone line - you can submit your request quickly and get on with your day.
- Every patient is treated equally - whether you call, walk in, or go online.
- Our clinical team can focus on your care - triaging requests more effectively and safely.
